Graystone,
If Mr Macpherson is a deist then I certainly respect that, both historically and personally. As I try to figure out what label best suits my own beliefs that is a label that comes as close as any. And if Mr Macpherson became a little exercised in his use of language because he feels Emile and Jane are dangerous, I certainly respect that.

And I most certainly respect and agree with the following post
Message 3886340

I believe Jane's circle of demons is expanding.

Henry

Gray-
I dont know what a Deist is, so I cant comment on that. I am just remaining true to form in stating that no matter what your beliefs are, I feel that love, compassion, and tolerance are the pathway to enlightenment. For all I kow, Rod may agree with that. I was just noting that his manner of attacking religion as a whole, not individual posters, does nothing to embody those principles.

It is his right to speak out in whatever manner he chooses, as it Emile's, your's, and mine.(I'm not sure about Henry though :-) ) AS I said, I dont know what the "principals" of the Deist religion are, but I wonder if they include tearing down the precepts of other religions.

Jane
is a case in point. She doesn't try to talk to anyone who won't acknowledge that she is God, a rare form of mental illness I believe. Jane has claimed before that nobody reads her posts, I certainly don't, nor do I waste a bookmark. She is a person who rants and raves constantly. Some of the things she says are really funny and illuminate why Jane inspires much ill feeling. I little cyber Tor-quemada like Jane has no power to dislodge the rational or reasonable mind, just to spit out a little offal and pain now and then. Jane has a credibility problem which just keeps getting worse, do you think Jane knows this, I don't.
