New Quarter. Many can dump the hi-fliers , that may have been held to show in the portfolio at end of Q. Called window-dressing. Also, once Q ends and gains locked in, there may be selling to protect those gains.

Either the money managers realize that stocks are overpriced and start
to sell, or the Japanese invest some (most?) of the $ 2 trillion in Big Bang money that comes free 4/1/98 in US equities sending them to the moon. Japan is in dire shape and can't afford to compete with 6% interest rate (currently 1/2%) or have depositors withdraw money. I wouldn't be surprise if Japan suspends the reforms. Eventually I think Japan will be the Tsunami that knocks down this house of cards.
