Agree R.D. With more players, that will mean more people heading for the exit at the same time, making the correction even more severe. Just as greed is being magnified at this time so will fear.

Bob,
Ten people controlled the market, this isn't a guess but a fact.
Millions more people are invested in the market now but they are invested through mutual funds, pension funds, managed IRA's so they don't have any control over the trading anyway. The managers are in control of the money and the market. Show me an individual investor with clout enough to move the market. I know many people with six figure accounts but they aren't traders, they buy and hold. One fellow I know has a six million account and he claims never to have sold a stock, lives on dividends. If he liquidated his account today the market wouldn't even notice.
