Thanks to all for response.

I am actually not "shopping" for a computer. All the computers that I have ever owned are vanila boxes my consultants put in.

I keep hearing about ACER and Packard Bell being low quality, brand XXX being high quality etc etc. Most box makers buy components from the same vendors. I just wondered how they could be different, especially when someone claims that one brand can be faster than another, when they are using the same components.

In terms of reliability, I have yet to have a computer "break" faster than they became obsolete, which occurs 3 seconds after you take it out of the box.

Needless to say, I am trying to determine the direction of the PC sector from an investment standpoint. I think CPQ is coming after customers like myself (small business customer), who require a little more hand holding than ordering a few big boxes via the internet. That is a very labor intensive, though profitable, business. I wonder if CPQ can maintain the recent growth rate with this move.
