I just got off the phone with the officer who'd handed us his card the first time we called the police. Now he tells me that the heart of the matter is that PG&E does not want to be the victim in a trespass case, and it does not intend to fence the area. The police won't come out to deal with trespass issues. As for nuisance activity, they will only come when called and assess the situation. Which means of course that as soon as the cop shows up, the boys will be all sweetness and light. I am distraught.
