Hello Stefan,

You hit it right on the head.... Without a defined exit, how do you know when to sell???? I can not tell you how many times I've seen a winner turn into a loser because it was held too long, or it was bought with a longer term system BUT sold before the system gave an exit.. You have to know when to sell....

If you are a longer term trader you should be developing a longer term system. Your system should get you in and out within your desired timeframe.

If you are a shorter term trader, your system MUST get you in and out quicker.

Now this does not mean that you should ignore either the shorter term or longer term indicators. It just means that your entry and exit MUST conform to your trading style.

Neither one is better, just more suited for you...
