Ref:i2 Technologies.

Shivram:

I just got my 'investor package' from i2 and here are some points
I picked up from their most recent 10K filing dated Dec.31,97.

1)Competition: (and i paraphrase...)

Markets in which the Company operates are highly competitive.
Competitors include:

(1)Enterpirse Resource Application software vendors such as
SAP,PeopleSoft,Oracle and Baan, each of which currently offers sophisticated ERP solutions that currently or may in the future incorporate supply chain software including Manuguistcs Group,Logility.

(2)Dependence Upon Key personnel:

Company's future operating results depend in significant part upon the continued service of a relatively small number of key technical and senior management personnel.etc......

"Kanna (Ken) N.Sharma, the Company's Vice Chairman of the Board and
executive Vice President, has recently been diagnosed with a brain
tumor. While Mr.Sharma is currently providing services to the Company, there can be assurance as to how long he will be able to continue to do so."

I thought I let you know. Any thoughts??? One thing for sure both
i2 and MANU seems to be performing rather well lately and I wish I had some of both, oh well i will keep watch and see I can get in one of these days.

Manugistics-(MANU)- Hope you are out if you were in.

PSFT led me to buy MANU. I bought and sold psft the same day so I could buy manu at 35 3/4..

Wow Shivram:

I hope you are out of this stock already. Man what the hell is going on with this one??? I know about the Alex Brown comment the other day but still,WOW!!!! i2 is down in sympathy as well.

If you haven't bought it yet, looks like you can buy all you want for less than $30.00 or there abouts.

i2 Technologies comfortable with earnings estimate.

Shivram:

In case you are interested here is something I found.

biz.yahoo.com

I think I might buy a few shares of i2 as soon as the split takes effect if I can get it below $30.00. I know you worked for MANU but I believe Sanjiv has an advantage with his proprietary software codes etc..(i could be wrong but..) and with the acquisition of Canada's InterTrans they might be in a better position to withstand any onslaught of competition that is supposed to come from Oracle and some of the others.Besides i2 has already established a base and I like their 'team' better than the other guys. Anyway I will be keeping a close watch on the 'Supply Chain' guys and see what develops.Any thoughts??

Oh and i2 are not too far from where I live perhaps I will pay them a visit one of these days, you know I can always pause as a 'big time investor',what they don't know wouldn't hurt, right????
