No official news yet, but the way I look at it now:

a) rather significant strings of buys at 3/32 in afternoon;
b) *absence* of enormous afternoon avalanche of sells at 1/16;
c) substantial *decrease* in size of ask (at 3/32), from >100K earlier
this morning, down to 38K by market close;
d) size of bid (at 1/16) well above 100K, and staying high;
e) *price of gold* seems to be steadily increasing.

Clinton's focus on Africa at moment may have impact as well.

These factors all seem optimistic to me. I think I'll sleep better tonight than I did last night.
