There was a big drop from about 35 5/8 to 35 around 3:40. Best I can tell from reading the graph (at one-minute intervals)on fast.quote is there may have been a big block sold down through market offer prices until the block was consumed. This may be a guess, and I am hoping somebody with a real-time stock trader can look at the trades during that period and shed some light on this blip. Very low AMAT volume today.

Also, does any one have access to Infrastructure who can describe today's report.

I am somewhat concerned that the Fed will look at the gigantic housing starts reported this afternoon (forget the good weather - - this is interest-related) and raise rates a quarter point tomorrow to slow down things down - - including the inflation in stock prices. Like the Fed did in Easter Week 1994.
