Tue 31 Mar 98 News Release
Mr Mark Roberts reports
Taylor Rigs, LLC has completed two of the four rigs to be shipped to
Indonesia and within the next three weeks the other two rigs will have been
completed. All rigs will be shipped together at which point final payment
will be received from Radiant and one other purchaser.
Arising from reported negotiations, Taylor Rigs has received an order for
another two carriers from Phalling. Management views this development as
setting the stage for a continuing carrier business that will be run as a
separate division. Having demonstrated the expertise and quality controls
to build carriers, Taylor has now commenced a marketing program to expand
the client base for this business.
Taylor Rigs management has also met with a Wyoming based concern which is
interested in purchasing four 350 rigs and one 550 rig, with accessories.
The gross value of the contract is approximately US$4 million.
Concurrently, management is working with Superior Auctioning of San
Antonio, Texas, a significant oil and gas equipment appraiser which has
many financial institution affiliations, and with Norwest Bank to set up a
100% lease/purchase rig financing program for Taylor Rigs. Financing would
be subject to the financial strength of each lessor/purchaser. These
parties are reviewing the financial statements of the prospective Wyoming
purchaser for the purposes of financing the transaction. Management
believes that if such a financing program is established, domestic rig
sales would escalate.
