...consumers and PC makers don't want its cache-less performance in "serious" low-cost machines. Only Sony and Packard Bell are expected to offer Celeron-based desktops in the U. S. when the chip officially debuts in mid-April. Even Intel Japan chairman Ikuo Nishioka recently predicted that Celeron is unlikely to gain acceptance among more than 10 percent of Japanese computerists.
