Larry, I agree that the Japanese pricing of IRDIF service should not be read as indicative of much.

However, I think the pricing indications in the NYTimes were not really very indicative either.

Isn't Iridium geared towards the "international traveller"? Isn't Japan a significant travel destination? I think it is very significant in the grand scheme. Our prototypical businessman will perhaps begin to flinch at $8 per minute--just maybe. No wonder they expect the average universal subscriber to use only 40 minutes per month. I hope they get these prices---it would give G* a great deal of wiggle room.
