Maybe CompUSA will help us out this week. That is if Philip Lee hasn't already caluclated the box numbers down to two decimal points.

Mfchepl and all,

Is it only CompUSA that will be reporting sales figures, or will some of the forecasters also report? TIA

Sam

Mcheÿl,

Thanks much for your update on Apple prices, et al, in Europe. Our non-US correspondents are worth their weight in gold. (All SI posters living in Japan, this is your cue to chime in and tell us how Apple sales are going. <<gggg>>)

Enjoyed the post I'm responding too as well. I'm sure you've noticed how many media sources are starting to report positively on Apple, though as you said, we will still see a lot of anti-Apple spin.

Marc

PS--Thought I'd take this opportunity to give another good anecdotal story about those wonderful G3s and that awful NT. One of my neighbors works at a nearby firm with 300 NT boxes and some Macs in the graphics department. Pretty typical story so far, right? Well, someone up top decided to replace the aging Macs with NT boxes--and after they tried using NT the graphics people raised hell. The compromise? New G3s for all of them, though they had to promise to do all the technical support. This too is a typical story, I believe--the loyalists don't want to give up their boxes. The G3s, Office '98, etc. help make the case that they don't have to.
