I am particularly interested in the Y2K problem, and investing in companies providing a solution.

There is a big awareness of the Y2K problem here but I think it is primarily being dealt with by local subsidiaries of the American corporations.

Australian stock quotes, if you like. I'm not very knowledgeable about Australian tech stocks, as yet, and I wouldn't have time to do all the research myself, but if we all had a quick look for such stocks in

What tech stocks? The high tech sector here is primarily branches of multinationals.

I grew up in Australia, but have been out of the country for a few years now and what I know about the Y2K problem in Australia is limited to what I have read in on-line newspapers. I don't think I would be much help on this topic, but would be happy to post anything I come across as I patrol around the Australian news sites in my attempts to stay in touch with what is going on at home.
