It sounds like you deleted part of NT, but not all. You need to get sw like quartrdeck uninstaller to be sure you delete everything.

Try deleting the NT loader (ntldr) from the root directory. That may (or may not) do the trick. If it doesn't work, post again and I'll find out how.

I had the same problem.

I don't know what to do but I know what not to do.

DO NOT go deleting files from your windows directory thinking April is your lucky month and it's worth the gamble.

What you will get is a dead machine that will not boot at all (my experience).

Best to leave it alone, put up with the hassle, and later install from scratch Win98 or NTx

You may need to edit boot.ini. Do attrib -r -s boot.ini
and you can edit it. But why run 95 when you have NT?
