Hi Linda,

MacOS Rumors (I believe) recently had a piece about 350, 366, and 375 MHz G3 machines coming very soon (end of April, early May timeframe). This would mostly be to counter Intel's introduction of the 400 MHz Pentium II this week. Supposedly, Apple is currently building up inventory of the new G3 chips now--once they have a reliable supply, they'll ship 'em.

Don't expect machines based on the G4 to come out until this fall at the earliest. The G4 will need an entirely new motherboard than what the G3 takes, and this'll take some time. I believe the G4s are still in late testing, and probably won't start initial production runs until sometime late this summer. If anyone knows otherwise, please chime in!

Long on Apple . . .
