Atmel Corp. Names Donald Colvin Finc Chief

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Atmel Corp. (ATML) named Donald Colvin chief financial officer and vice president, finance.

Colvin replaces Kris Chellam, who was named general manager and senior vice president of the company's Eeprom product group.

In a press release Tuesday, Atmel said Colvin had been chief financial officer of its Atmel ES2 unit.

The company also named Frank Heinricht chief executive officer of its Temic Semiconductor Group.

Heinricht was chairman of Temic Semiconductors' Integrated Circuits Division, which Atmel acquired in March.

Atmel makes semiconductors.

Atml seems to have formed a double bottom - one in early Jan and one in March. If we can get a few more of these up days, we're in business again for a breakout.
