I have no problem with the gem %ages or any part of the Rombouts section, I simply see "similiar" technical numbers we have seen in the past, which, by the way, have resulted in little value to us. I see low MACRO GRADES per ht but very good EXTRAPOLATED MACRODIAMOND GRADES and I need clarification on which numbers to base analysis on. Fact is, you can have 100% gems but if the cpht is not high enough it is a moot point. The chart below is the one that is causes me grief...

Microdiamond Samples Macrodiamonds
Extrapolated Recovered from
Macrodiamond Grade Minibulk Samples
(cpht)2
-----------------------------------------
Total Higher No. of Grade
Body Grade Zones Stones (cpht)

Hole No. 150
11 15 36 4.9

Hole No. 176
36 50 17 3.4

Hole No. 220
25 n/a 24 6.6

Is the "extrapolated" grades a resonable estimate at this time? Or does this figure include non-commercial sized diamonds extrapolated into commmercial sized ones?

Am i still making any sense? Have I ever made any sense?

EW

Hi Saul;

Thank you for your posts. You seem to be one of the few grown-ups on this thread. Believe it or not, some of us are actually interested in learning from this thread!

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the difference between gems, near gems and industrial grade stones? Is there a market for near gems? What is the difference in price per carat?

According the 1997 Rex Diamonds annual report Dr. Luc Rombouts is THEIR geologist and head of THEIR exploration team. I know that he is a consultant, but since he has done a lot of work for KRT in 1997, is he still consulting for KRT?

Keep up the good posts.
Joe.
