"ThrustMaster Attacks Video Game Market"--Portland Business Journal

"...He said ThrustMaster won't make that mistake. John Sauer, who worked for Sega Vision, will oversee video game controller marketing. It will be Sauer's job to ensure that ThrustMaster meets the unique needs of the video game player. One of those needs involves price. Resnick and the analysts agreed that video gamers will be unwilling to pay the prices that PC gamers pay. Yuzon said he feels ThrustMaster will need to bring products to market at around $30 to $50 to appeal to buyers of $200 video game consoles..."

Yuzon, with all due respect, is dead wrong...ThrustMaster could easily charge up to $79, $89 (<$100) for a NASCAR [Sony, Nintendo] Steering Wheel all day long, worldwide...a possible solution would be to bundle a [TMSR console NASCAR Wheel with a console Rage 3D-like Gamepad and a game] for $89.99 through Costco, Toys 'R Us...this simply is a no-brainer...esp when video game cartridges-s/w sell for up to $60 a game...a NASCAR wheel could command a $89 price alone...and we'll put money on Sauer pulling it off...or it's sega later sauer and resnick...
