Last Friday, Goldman Sachs & Co. trimmed its fiscal third-quarter view to 55 cents a share from 60 cents, and its fourth-quarter outlook to 73 cents from 78 cents. The First Call consensus earnings is lowered from $0.60 to $0.59. Today, NationsBanc Montgomery Securities Inc. reduced its fiscal third-quarter earnings estimate to 55 cents from 61 cents. The updated FC could be lowered to $0.58(my guess). Both maintained the recommended list rating, and Laura Conigliaro, of Goldman Sachs, said Sun is still capable of 20% earnings growth in fiscal 1999.
