Norma: Thanks for the update. And, a special thanks for taking care of the Ireland connection. She will be one of our most vocal spokespersons in that area. Re: John ... well, on the plane, I read all the posts that Alice printed off for me. I must say I'm disappointed in the petty discussions that took place on corporate facilities. Jeff, we need to have a talk about Rita. There was no call for the way she treated Alice. Alice is a very bright young lady immigrant from Peru. Her English is stilted, as you probably noticed. But, her background is exactly what we need. Her Master's in MicroBiology should mean something to you, and indicate why I chose her to be my personal secretary for the past year. She has been extremely valuable to me when she explained some of those biological terms. Alice does tend to be a bit flamboyant with her clothes, but that's a carryover from her native country. At any rate, I'd like us all to be one happy family. Let's talk about how to smooth the ruffled feathers. I reviewed the proposal and agreement that Mr. Roker negotiated for us in Honolulu. I must say I'm impressed. His choice of words in some critical statements will serve us well in that deal. I'm meeting with Janice tonight in Paris to go over the final press release. Tomorrow will be very exciting. The biggest day ever for FBN and its employees. You ain't seen nothin' yet !!!!! TED

I had to send my intern, John, packing. It seems he had an eye for the ladies (Alice and Venus can brief you) and was letting it affect his work. I will be auditioning ... er ... I mean interviewing candidates for his replacement as soon as time permits. Norma, I wandered by your office today when you were out and had a nice chat with your new assistants, Kevin and Dave. Now that Rita has gone on to greener pastures, I was wondering if those guys at the Hippy Hollow placement agency might also traffic in executive secretaries? BTW, I did get to talk to Venus and I commend her for putting John in his place. I think she's the perfect person to get Kevin out of his shell. Hope all is going well on your trip. Sorry you had to go out there alone; but Dave just wanted me to reiterate that he really does suffer from air sickness and is not allergic to your perfume. - Jeff
