But I agree with your assessment, except that Disney has been all about money for about the last twenty years, which is why the stock has done so well. The erosion of the Disney image is by now fairly complete far all but the most gullible sucker.

Actually, Disney has been ranked above other companies such as Daimler-Benz for quality. Last survey I saw ranked Disney #1 for quality among the Fortune 500. None of the Mouse's "competition" is even close.

Universal is minor sideshow attraction for the undiscerning, especially considering the increasing numbers of Disney guests who find no need to leave Disney property (other than flying in and out) since they expanded their wildly successful hotel operations.

By any measure the Disney brand is the strongest extant and only getting more so. The common attribute among all Disney brand extentions is high quality.

Btw, there is a loser's thread for people who bet against Disney. You should examine their amazing track record. They are never correct, but very vocal and especially hate being confused by facts. Nothing says "proven wrong" like:
