Here's some interesting numbers/factoids I heard this morning:

For every penny of reduced cost of jet fuel, the airline industry saves a combined $170 million in costs, which go directly to their bottom line.

Jet fuel has gone down in price about .25, saving the entire industry over 5 billion in costs so far this year.
