DA,

Doing ones own DD can mean a lot of things. Calling the CEO is just one example that has worked fine for me. I think the point here is this, Some posters continue to ask questions which is just fine but they make no effort to supply answers or volunteer any research.

Best Regards

Dan, I try to keep an open mind to different opinions but need to say that I think that you out of line with some of your comments. Do I think that calling Joe Murphy is a form of DD? Sure it is. Joe Murphy essentially is DCI. With the help of others he has built this company from the ground up to where it is now and I cannot imagine a better source of information. To compare Joe Murphy to the likes of a car salesman is an insult that I think begs for an apology, or better yet if you don't think you can trust Joe Murphy then either you just don't know the man or you don't need to be in this stock. Car salesman for instance to not build the cars they sell, there is a difference. I have known Lou for years and I have learned to respect what he has to say. He is not afraid of asking the tuff questions that need to be asked and has the intelligence and background to know when a red flag has been raised with information he gathers from whatever source and not hesitant to question it. I can assure you, calling Joe Murphy is only a portion of the DD that he and some others engage in. You have no idea of the efforts made to cross check information with other sources that goes on...

James

Hello Dan,

I don't know about you but I sure make more than just a call to the
CEO. I don't know your background and it is very obvious you don't
know mine. My phone bill runs 2-300 a month and I talk to Mr. Murphy
seldom. If you think reading an internet board is doing dd you are
sadly mistaken. Do you think anyone here doesn't have an agenda?
Those that are long are not going to hash and rehash negatives(all
companies have them including MSFT) and those that are short or
looking to get in lower are going to bash. Then there are those
that create problems.......another agenda totally......

Talking to an IR department is even a bigger joke. Just exactly what do they know? What someone under the CEO tells them. I've never
gotten one piece of relevant info from an IR department of any
company I've looked at and that is thousands. As for your car
analogy, I'd run like the plague if I thought I was being sold a bill
of goods by a CEO that couldn't be verified.........

Lou
