Larry,re:"went under". Agree/disagree. If THE product is not in the right market, then it does not matter. Since I don't know what the ADSL/.. market, I cannot tell the impact on TXN's earning. My feeling is TXN is more 'market oriented' vs 'product oriented' and hope they guess/get it right this time(if you are long). It's definitely a different TXN, how successful still needs to be testsed. That's why TXN is always UP and DOWN. Memory is the only STORY here. TXN is already in the lower price range (may not be the exact bottom) so a 'STRONG AVOID' means the analyst's arm is 'twisted' by management to find a STORY to match a more desirable price to get in. The 'memory STORY' is as convenience as 'ASIAN-flu' and nobody can blame you. Afterall, the analyst can later says 'THE IMPACT IS MUCH LESS THAN EXPECTED' and 'UPGRADE NOW'. It's so interesting that DJ's up/down 50+ has a reason and it changes a couple of times a week. Well, thanks for the info. on the trend.
