Breakthrough Flash Disk Design Attains the Highest Performance in the
Market!

M-Systems' FFD is Now Offered in a 2.5" Form Factor with Industry Standard IDE and SCSI
Interfaces

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 31, 1998--M-Systems introduced today two new 2.5'' Fast Flash Disk products.

These new products, featuring the highest read and write speeds in their category, are a drop-in replacements for standard
2.5'' magnetic hard disks, with SCSI-2 or IDE interfaces. Being highly ruggedized, the FFDs provide the optimal solution for
applications that require high data reliability and performance in harsh environmental conditions.

The FFD-250 is a flash memory based solid-state disk in a 2.5'' form factor. Two models of the FFD-250 are offered: one
complies with the ATA-3 interface and one with the SCSI-2. Based on these standard interfaces and form factors, the
FFD-250 is fully compatible with standard magnetic hard disks, and provides a drop-in replacement. The FFD-250 Flash
Disks are offered in capacities of 16 to 672 MByte, which makes them the highest capacity Flash Disks on a 2.5'' form factor.

Targeted at the Industrial Computer industry, Telecom, Military and Embedded Systems, the FFD-250 has unique features.
These features make it a superior solution for applications that require high data reliability and high performance; it is highly
ruggedized, with no moving parts, it has built-in TrueFFS-FTL that optimizes performance and provides enhanced endurance
and maximum data integrity.

The FFD-250 has no match in the market when it comes to performance. Breaking previous records set by the FFD-350
SCSI Flash Disk, the FFD-250 SCSI Flash Disk has burst read and write speeds of 9.7 MByte/sec., a sustained read speed
of 3.6. MByte/sec. and a sustained write speed of 3.4 MByte/sec. The IDE model boasts impressive burst read and write
speeds of 16.7 MByte/Sec., a sustained read speed of 3.5 MByte/sec. and a sustained write speed of 2.4 MByte/sec.

The FFD-250 is now shipping in quantities. The 672 MByte version is priced at $3615 in OEM quantities (more than 1,000
Units).

Award Selects M-Systems' TrueFFS Technology For WWWAccess

*************************************
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 31, 1998--M-Systems Flash Disk Pioneers (NASDAQ:FLSHF - news) today
announced a collaborative effort with Award Software International(R) Inc., (NASDAQ:AWRD - news), a leading provider of
system management software for embedded systems and personal computers, on integrating TrueFFS into
WWWAccess(TM), Award's internet appliance software solution.

M-Systems' TrueFFS bundled with WWWAccess, offers Award customers the functionality and high performance required
for application development.

WWWAccess is a complete BIOS-to-Browser solution for use in products such as telephones, network computers, set-top
boxes and other consumer electronic devices. The product enables Windows software to run on non-Windows platforms,
including ARM, PowerPC and x86.

WWWAccess also features APIAccess(TM), which is used to facilitate the development of Win32 applications for Internet
devices by using existing Windows applications and familiar Windows development tools. APIAccess has been ported to
several real-time operating systems including VxWorks, Helios and QNX. WWWAccess combines APIAccess with a full
featured browser, e-mail tool and M-Systems' Flash File System to create a complete toolkit for development of an embedded
Internet product.

''Integrating TrueFFS into WWWAccess satisfies the requirement for a standardized method of transferring data between
systems,'' said Chuck Schouw, President of M-Systems Inc. ''In addition, TrueFFS allows WWWAccess to seamlessly
communicate with a variety of embedded flash storage devices.''

Mr. Schouw went on to say that ''M-Systems can squarely address the Internet Access Device (IAD) market because the
combination of TrueFFS and WWWAccess provides an excellent solution for diskless Internet devices.

''Award chose M-Systems' TrueFFS because it provides the industry standard Flash Translation Layer (FTL) format,
supports the most extensive range of flash components and extends flash component life with its wear leveling algorithms,'' said
Laurent Gharda, Vice President of Marketing at Award.

''We help our customers to quickly and cost-effectively enter the Internet device market. We developed a good working
relationship with M-Systems personnel and are happy to have their product as a part of our solution.''

By integrating TrueFFS into WWWAccess, the customer has the ability to easily use low cost, rugged, and reliable solid-state
flash memory devices such as M-Systems' DiskOnChip. The DiskOnChip is a single chip Flash Disk providing up to
72MBytes in a 32-Pin EPROM form factor.

Embedded systems, such as Internet appliances, require extremely reliable and compact data storage. Reliability is a key factor
in the success of an embedded device. Unlike standard PCs, when a problem occurs, the user does not have access to
diagnostic tools.

Flash memory can meet these requirements, and for this reason it has been accepted as the industry standard device for
embedded storage. It is a complicated task, turning ''raw'' flash into a usable disk replacement but M-Systems' TrueFFS and
Flash Disks provide a complete solution that can be easily and quickly integrated into any design.

M-Systems Flash Disk Pioneers develops, manufactures, and markets innovative data storage solutions based on flash memory
utilizing the Company's patented TrueFFS technology. These solutions include a range of Flash PC Cards, Flash Disks, and
DiskOnChip devices.
