Remember alot of semi's have pre-announced poor qtrly results, but TI doesn't appear to pre-announce.

It's my understanding the analyst meeting a month ago cleared the air in terms of expectations. Based on this I would think any disappointments are already built in.

I wouldn't expect ADSL/C6x revenues to contribute much to the bottom line for the rest of the year. Maybe in 1999. These technology leaps often take quite some time to get designed in, create demand, and finally start shipping in volume.

Knowing how long Siemens, Ericsson, Westell, and others have been waiting for this chip, I would have to disagree with your time frame. The technology is already designed in. These companies are sitting there waiting for chips so they can ship product.

Just another opinion.
