Yesterday it was likely MM's covering their shorts that temporarily drove the price up. You can usually tell when this is happening because of the large spread between bid and ask. Today's opening spread is a little wide as well. It's the MM's establishing the spread, not the market, hence no trading until a MM makes an artificial one or a small investor steps up to the plate at their price. They are trying to establish a floor at this level, remains to be seen if they'll be successful. It's hard to really know what's going on so the above is just theory, take it for what it's worth.
