JP, S3 is doing great on low end -- check out AMD's ride to the upside (I have said before that around $48, INTC & AMD stocks will trade equally!). AMD is doing great with cheap PCs. Soon we will hear mid and high end GX3 chips that will boost S3's earning as well. More money in the AMD's pocket may help us as well!!!! QuoteGuy

Folks, I went to WinHEC (MS' Windows Hardware Engineering Conference) last week and a guy from S3 presented some of S3's future video technology. I thought it was a very interesting talk and dovetailed nicely with Microsoft's Broadcast PC initiatives. The specific S3 presentation starts at the URL below, which is part of the last three hour presentation of the conference. microsoft.com The S3 guy who gave the presentation, Dr. Nikhil Balram, had a serious clue. The other presenters in this segment had other interesting views of the bringing broadcast and film content to the PC.
