Paul,

While this may be true:

<<Something is always going to broken someplace..>>

It doesn't follow that service will be affected. Proper network design on "mission critical" networks says that you don't get all of your 'net connections from one ISP or through the same POP for that matter. Two T's from the same point does nothing to enhance reliability, bandwidth maybe, but not reliability or resilience.

NAQ is the service provider. You choose your 'net connection, equipment, service, et al.

If NAQ can't reliably provide the "REAL TIME" service that we pre-paid for then get out of the business - don't tell us "not to renew" because NAQ is not willing to make the investment in equipment and personnel to deliver the level of service for which we contracted.

These are NOT technical issues, as has always be the lament. It is a business decision not to make the capital improvements necessary.

How long have spikes been a major issue?

What has been resolved to date?

What "fix" has been suggested?

Charting is basically useless due to this.

The only one that I have heard is "don't renew". Well if that is what would make NAQ happy, maybe we ALL should discontinue service ...

Does (or will) NAQ have any constructive response to these issues?

Steve

We are working fine here. The router problems have been resolved, and we are quite comfortable with the way the servers are running. I cannot be resonsible for backbone breaks on the Internet. This is why some people pay thousands to have direct access to the markets, or have their own satellite dishes.
