3Com Has Believers Among Analysts, Despite Earnings, Paper Says

New York, March 31 (Bloomberg) -- 3Com Corp. still has some
believers among analysts despite reporting earnings well below
estimates for the second consecutive quarter last week, the New
York Times reported in its ''Market Place'' column.

Analysts who remain moderately positive say that while 3Com has
some execution problems execution, it remains the most viable
competitor with Cisco Systems Inc. in the computer networking market.

Since 3Com is strongest where Cisco isn't -- such as adapter cards,
modems and remote-access servers -- it can prosper without challenging
the market leader in its core business, the paper said, citing analysts.

3Com said profit before a gain in its fiscal third quarter
ended March 1 fell 95 percent, as it cut shipments to
distributors to reduce inventory built up by a six-month slump in
sales of modems and remote-access products.

Appears Bloomerg's execution above leaves much to be desired.
It's good to see you Moony. Thanx Scrapps, good to be seen.
