Alan - as I understand it - all Meme's "tech" does is access a base unit at a local ISP where it then goes through that ISP to the Net etc. (2 way flow) I do not know what Erik. Sony, Moto are up to in this regime - but I guarantee you - they are probably making their own by now - & if they aren't - they will be soon. Then - it's just a matter of partnering up with a bunch of ISPs.. With the economy of scale of the big guys - they will undercut Meme's prices & "Titanic" Meme can probably get a year or two of decent sales from the thing - but surviving longer than that is doubtful in my opinion..
