Richard
Shouldnt that be .38 x 300(not 30) x500,000 divided by 20mm = 2.85?

What am I missing?

To all,
Since every body is talking about 0.383 opt of Au equivalent,
I will like to point out that this is not the case.

The 0.383 oz is the total weight of gold and PGMs per ton.
It is calculated by adding the weight of Au, Pt, Pd and Rd
per ton. It is not the gold equivalent per ton.

To calculate the opt of gold equivalent, we have to find the total
value of metals per ton and divide by the gold price.
Since a previous post Message 3899831
already calculated the per ton value as $174.29 per ton.

So the OPT of gold equivalent per ton is : $174.29/$301 = 0.56

So we should be using a 0.56 OPT of gold equivalent to
do any calculation of the metal value.
