I'm long MOT but feel its overvalued if one just looks at earnings. But expect that with all the patents they hold there maybe some new technologies they are developing that will propel higher earnings in the future. One that I am aware of is FED flat plate displays (see thread on PIXTech) I am interested if anyone else knows of any other potential "blockbusters" in the R&D pipeline. Also does anyone following this thread think there is any possibility of Motorola spinning off some of its divisions like AT&T did with Lucent? Maybe this would help create better run companies and "unlock" some value for us shareholders.
