It is an interesting point, but I wonder what management has been doing with local currency income in Asia since the crisis began. Have they been beaten up converting it back to USD? One would think they would turn it around into expanding the local markets so as to avoid the loss. If so, would the startup cost really be lower? Or would McD's just be managing to avoid FX transactions at a lousy rate? It can only be good either way, but makes me wonder what impact the crisis has had on Ronald to date. Just my .02 Any input?
