Sold half of my GTW position in Dec 97 and bought CPQ. Since then GTW has gone up 54% and CPQ has gone down 9%. So much for diversification. I bought one week before the announcement of the DEC merger. If I had known about the proposed merger I would not have bought. The fallout from the merger and the slowing earnings is killing this stock. I wish I had held the GTW a Little longer before picking up CPQ, which I think is still an excellent buy at these levels.
