I think so too, that's why I'd like to see RMBS get a few more quarters under their belt. Certainly could put the "flash in the pan" comments to rest. I think a stock split at this price level would not necessarily send a bullish signal. Does anybody on the thread know what criteria companies use to determine the best timing and ratio for a stock split? I assume that the underwriters give guidance in this area. <edit> I think LU was right on track when they announced their recent split. Most investors (whether right or wrong) assume an IPO or spinoff that has made runs that are doubles or triples think that the ride is over and want to wait for the "cheap" shares before jumping on board. Dell is a good example of this. If RMBS can trade in a somewhat orderly fashion back to it's old highs, splitting at that point would give investors a chance to get in while the momentum is still positive.
