Doc is allready supported in Windows NT and 95, not much reveneu from the windows market. The big announcement will be when one of the PC manufacturers will incorporate DOC in a standard PC or Server.
Basically I agree with your analysis (got out at 8.375 plan to get back in at 6.5) However I think that the earnings will be good for Q1 and the stock will rise again.

I agree with you about the normal M-System trading pattern. . .

However, what might be different this time is the volume of yesterday and today. Many new positions were created at these higher levels. This creates a support level below which many players are unlikely to sell.

The reduction of shares outstanding (by completing the Taiwan restructuring) and a decent 1Q are very important in establishing this new level of support.

Let's see.

You're absolutely right. DOC 12 Mb will be able to boot Win NT, and this will create a new market - Disaster Recovery for Win NT servers. MSFT believes this will be a huge market. I don't know how soon we'll see such an announcement. A better announcement would be an OEM deal with a manufacturer of a Win NT box (Compaq for example), to put a DOC in every NT box they make - that would be big news. I expect such news by '99, I don't think we'll see anything sooner. However, more positive news, in other markets expected by that time, which will keep the stock moving higher. By late '99 the stock could trade at high teens - mid 20's.
