Agreed, for a senior engineer with significant specialization. Are we sure that all 500 of the supposed hirees will have these qualifications? I am a bit skeptical, that's all.

This is a pre-mature discussion. I don't want to keep speculating on rumour (a little bit is exciting.) The reality is that the price of labor is only one component. Even, if they were to get a guy in there for $50/hr as a loss leader, the number of component reports would be huge and this is even higher margin billing. Any way you look it it, a GM announcment is significantly up. Let's hope this rumour pans out.

If the news was leaked then we should hear a clarification soon enough.

Two different issues...

Casey, you are combining two issues into one. The highest hourly rate TAVA can get vs. qualificaitons for getting $160.

The $160/hour figure for y2k work is settled business. Jenkins said they were getting it last November. So unless Jenkins is a psychopath who lies through his teeth in front of his whole staff during the conference call, I think we can agree this is issue is dead. Let Patrick Booth demand we prove it him, I feel no need too.

But the issue of **who** gets paid that and under what circumstances is a valid issue. I am in agreement that TAVA cannot just ramp up staff overnight and get this kind of money. Somebody on AOL has been posting the ridiculous comment that TAVA HQ is telling people they will be hiring 500 engineers. Just bringing in 150 new ones is tough enough, and I don't see the **full** engineering staff getting these kind of bucks until the end of the year.
