I do not think it particularly biased or incendiary to point out that book value, as calculated by GAAP, is not necessarily the most accurate way to measure the asset value of the company, and that it errs entirely on the side of asset inflation.

I think that all of us, when posting our reasoning on this thread, are aware that we might be wrong in our conclusions. I'm sorry that my argument seemed to imply to you some infallibility on my part. (There is none of that on this bus!) However, I had thought that valuing a stock at a trailing PE of 50 could be widely agreed upon to be at least highly "optimistic" when the company is losing money and has as difficult business prospects as Micron.
