Jim, production cost for PIXT FED's are less then AMLCD which require an indidudual transistor for each Pixel, AMLCD technology fall apart about 14.4 inches and is requires many more production process than PIXT FED. PIXT intends to sell a 15.5" inch version for $750.00. Smaller versions sell in the $200.00 to 350.00 price range. Very competive. Prices will drop as volume production increases. this company is supported by MOtorolo, Raythoen,Futaba of Japan, Texas Instruments, Sumatoma of Japan paid PIXT 10million for the rights to distribute Pixt production FED in Japan. The FED technology was developed in the French Atomic Commission Labratories in Grenobal France and the chairman Of PIXT bought the exclusive rights to the patents, and formed PIXT. PIXT trade on the Eueropean equalivant of NASDA. in US dollars. as well as here on NASDA. IPO come out in 94 @$10.00. $60 million of R&D has been expensed and the 350 patents supporting the technology sit on the @ zero. US accounting standard require R&D and patent acqusition cost to be writen off as incurred. The company is transitioning from Liscense revenue to Production revenue. the forst commercial order was for $50 million.
