Yup, that sounds about right...For pennies my broker charges 5% with a minimum of $20 + $1.25 for postage/handling. So my commissions optimize at $400. That's where the 5% = $20 so I always try to buy in lots between $400-$600, regardless of number of shares.

Looks like that's what happened to you when you were charged $22 for that trade. Call you brokerage house and ask them to send you a commission schedule.

BTW - When you sell, you're gonna have the same type of commissions. You'll need a price of .025 just to break even, which is ok, since this merger should take CVIA well over a dime...
