Funny how it appears analysts had raised their market estimates after the new production cuts were announced yet the chorus line is still "the world is drowning in oil". Sometimes the shorts sing louder than the rest of us. Who wants to bet in May we see oil prices closer to $18 and interest back into the integrated companies and the drillers (seems to me inventory levels were miles higher in 1993 when oil was this low compared to today!). Anybody who trades integrated oils may remember that anytime oil is below $17, oil stocks significantly outperformed the general market, I will assume this will charge the drillers as well. I like Ensco because it is the only driller I can find with insiders (board members) buying the stock at this level ($29 in feb). Question, can someone explain to me what a Jackup rig is?

Re: Impact of Canadian Gas???

Doug and Thread, What impact do you expect the importation of Canadian gas to have on ESV? Is this something to watch out for medium/long term?

<<Off Topic>>>
Doug, your mention of 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'(on 'Strictly...') brought back happy memories for me. A few years ago a grrlfriend and I had a little sailboat. We discovered that book and its sequels, and spent many happy hours taking turns reading to each other while sailing, fishing, adrift, etc.

best regards,

diana
