I'm a cigar smoker anyway. I disagree with the notion that this is a fad. I would prefer that it was.

I first had a cigar 33 years ago. Been smoking them regularly for 26 years. I wish these kids who just discovered this so-called fad would go away, so I could find a good cigar for a good price.

But they are not going away. Cigars have become a status symbol, an ability to flaunt wealth. BMWs aren't going away, golf courses aren't going away, cigars aren't going away.

Stereos, computers, running shoes....a lot of things were fads once.
