Bob,

Figured my first post on this thread ought to be to a level headed guy who can appreciate the rantings of Dr. Emilio Lazardo. BTW, still waiting on the sequel...

On a serious note, I've been reading the posts here since mid-october and have seen alot of compelling arguments each way. One thing I think people have underestimated in the recent 144 filings may be KPCB and Jeff Bezos trying to follow the lead of Ronnie (post 3467 "sold some at 84 to take some off the table" and post 2469 "A LITTLE PRUDENT PROFIT TAKING...."). I checked the prospectus and it looks like KPCB has an average price in the $2.34/share range (Sure seems to me that 35x your investment in 3.5 years is worth a little prudent profit taking) and Jeff Bezos' basis is $0.001 (God bless America!!!). If they decide to max their profit taking, I believe the 144 restrictions on how much they can sell in a given quarter (which by my calculations should be around 3 million shs/affliliate group)) should increase the float dramatically. Let's hope Doerr is at least as smart as Ronald...

Another way the float may increase would be, I believe, if KPCB were to distribute freely tradable shares to their LP's. I can't find access to a site which lists who is filing the 144a's and for how many shares which would answer this question pretty easily (if the info is even available). Any help here would be appreciated.

I also believe AMZN is going to have to sell shares to pay down the credit facility, I don't think we can expect that to alleviate any pressure on the short side for several months, if not quarters.

I'm new to the whole TA side of investing. If anyone can explain why the charts are still saying to buy, please post your thoughts. Thanks in advance.
