Gary, you got it right. 50,000 modem ports is no big deal.
Now if it were 50,000 MAX TNTs we'd have something to cheer about.

Jeffery,

It is better than nothing:-)

Glenn

Jeffrey, you're amusing.

The #41660 lecture (presumably, on detailed analysis) is followed by #41661, which simply states "We should fill in the gap at 35."

And, #41690: "...we'd have something to cheer about"
(contrasted by posts on COMS/USRX thread)?

Jeffery, as Sector correctly pointed out, this likely includes some number (large?) of Max TNT boxes. Gotta stuff those modems somewhere.
A call to IR should be able to end the speculation. I'm sure the analysts have already made that call.

Pardon me, but this order is more significant than you are giving it credit for.

Price per port I thought was running more like $500+. Don't know for sure, so I won't extend the numbers. So the order size could well be bigger than you think. It also appears that this is a system sale, so add some management and other network products. Probably those referred to in the press release.

More importantly, isn't this the product that was just announced on Monday. Huh, that means PSI was the beta tester. And just like Williams their first action is order, and big. PSI has been a MAX 4000 user heretofor, and now upgrading to the MAX TNT based on the trial is my guess.

One more thought, PSI is installing Fax/Voice over IP. Something that only Ascend can ship today!!!

It think this is going to be a barn burner. Wish I had not chosen yesterday to diversify some of my portfolio. But I have plenty to participate in this upcoming rise. I think it will be good!!!
