Saju, Dr. Grove didn't "step down", he's chairman of the company and is following a succession precedent set by Robert Noyce, who handed off CEO title to Gordon Moore, who handed it off to Andy Grove, who is handing it off to Craig Barrett.

You might note that each of the three CEOs in intel's history served roughly ten years in that position before moving to chairman and making room for the next CEO to rise up.

Grove stated bluntly that his health was not at issue. Your profile says you're 22 years old, so I'll assume (perhaps incorrectly) that you're familiar with Andy's bout with prostate cancer back in 1995. If you question his vitality, I suggest you try working for him. I've been as "straight forward" as can be, if you had been paying attention, you would know that.

As for Gersh and McMannis - you've established a new low for yourselves.

Regards,
John Hull

"and where are the lies? "

What are you talking about?

Your message has a somewhat taunting and rambling tone which, even if not intentional, is certain to upset people. If, however, you are intentionally trying to taunt an employee of Andy Grove's about Dr. Grove's recent bout with cancer, you are simply guilty of a profound lack of maturity, respect, and wisdom, and are thus worthy of pity and scorn.

Either way, you seem like you have some growing up to do.

Saju

Money comes and money goes for all of us. But whether you are human or inhuman will follow you throughout your life and in all your relationships with your friends and family. For your sake, just hope your children do not acquire your traits.
