Have you ever heard of volatility? Have you ever heard of general market downturn? The reason you buy options with time premium is to protect yourself against unexpected downturns. No stock goes up quarter after quarter without a misstep. Buying options your way (i.e., throwing caution to the wind) is a sure way to end up broke.
