Barrick/Silver. Peter Munk said recently that Barrick has the highest silver reserves of any company in the world and joked (in light of the higher silver price) that maybe he should start to take it more seriously.
All of this silver results in silver credits when the gold is sent to the mint to be refined 9999 pure. In total, then, the silver produced by gold miners is highly significant. A factor in the silver supply side of things is that as gold miners close mines and cut production they also cut back on the production of silver.

MB,
then are the silver producers the "big" producers? I notice my silver issue(one of the larger silver plays) also produces gold. does this muddy the water, or clear things up?
