An interesting bit in Via Satellite mag says that Loral is "hammering out an alliance with United Video Satellite Group Inc. to expand the satellite capacity of Loral Skynet and serve United Video's worldwide base of subscribers. The deal fits in well with the companies previously disclosed plans to expand Skynet's services globally and would give Loral Space and Tele-Communications Inc.(TCI), the parent company of United Video, a much-needed financial boost."
The same mag also several stories that indicate that Ku-band transponder demand in the US is very tight still and prices are rising. That is a good sign since Morelos III, and Telstar 6&7 are heading up this year with Ku-band transponders ready for action.

Dragonfly, re: Sept GSTRF options, do you have the launch schedule on hand and the Readware price forecast for GSTRF? I agree that the options seem to be a reasonable play. At the end of the day, what you are effectively betting on is the success rate of the Zenit launches, yes? Looks as if the market is pricing in substantial event risk, as it seems to me that the volatility of GSTRF would otherwise argue for a higher time value for the September calls (gut sense, as I don't have any Black Sholes models to play with). I'd be interested to hear thoughts on this subject.
Cheers,
Thomas
